Superman recaps the previous arc's events when we see him and Booster Gold battling Lor-Zod and the Eradicator in New Krypton of the future. Booster is knocked down and Superman and Lor-Zod become locked in a heat vision staring contest before he finally gets the upperhand. Unfortunately his small victory is short as a blurry flash shoots in for his revenge, and Zod victoriously stands over the two time travelers.

The ZZZZZZZZ Man!

Meanwhile in Logamba, Lois attempts to break into the prison where her father is. Thanks to a supporter, he as well as Jon sneak in. Inside, she's discovered, but when heat rays melt the gun the guards holding, she's shocked to see her son. They quickly burst into her father's cell and free him, as he lays eyes on his grandson for the very first time.

"Lois, my grandson looks just like Superman!"
"Oh, pay no mind to that, Dad. It's just a coincidence... Yeah. That's it..."

In New Krypton, the Zod family prepares to execute the two time travelers. Zod gives a speech about the son of Jor-El but Skeets interrupts him and is promptly destroyed. As Superman tries to make his case, he's punched repeatedly for stealing the past from the Zods before they talk about their new conquest of the time machine as well as killing Lois and Jon. Booster tries to rally big blue, but the kryptonite board he's chained to males him powerless. They all fire at the duo as Booster throws up a forcefield, but time's running out.

Quick Booster, throw up a worthless forcefield.

The issue wraps back in the jungles of Logamba. As the Lane family runs through the jungle, and in search of the secret US extraction point, they're seen by troops and machinegunned. As they lie in pools of blood, we're left to see what happens next as this issue is continued.

Get up, Jon. You're embarrassing the brand.

With just a few more issues left of the Dan Jurgens era, it's clear he's planning on really leaving it all on the comic book pages. With a final confrontation with Zod as well as letting the Super-Boy Wonder flex some powers, this issue delivers, and the Brett Booth artwork is stellar. I'm excited for where they're taking it. I give this one a 9/10.
