In Texas, two couple stolen car dealers play cards with a client. That is until their boss informs them it's the Living Lightning. Just before he blows up the compound, he's insulted by the ringleader. Later the former Avenger ponders his next move with his police partner when suddenly he's faced with a pretty big problem.

"Redwing look! It's a giant, flying Avengers logo!"

In similar fashion, Falcon sees a flash in the sky. He and Redwing assist in rescues while he wonders just what the hell is going on. All across the planet, various Avengers are plagued with comm systems, GPS, satellites all going offline. Vision hits up Alpha Flight but they and Captain Marvel float in space currently seeing no signs of Earth. Beast, Black Panther, and Vision try to plan accordingly but eventually their communication signals are also lost.

"That's it. I'm switching to Verizon..."

Luckily he is still able to speak with Thor. She and Hercules work to evacuate people from unsafe buildings, including stabilizing a massive statue. Meanwhile Wasp and Jarvis are caught in the earthquake. He manages to save a child but Nadia sees the butler covered in fallen stone.
In San Diego, Synapse and Dr. Voodoo keep people calm while the rest of the Unity Squad rescue boats from a tidal wave before Human Torch evaporates it. In New Mexico, Hawkeye and Red Wolf dig survivors from fallen buildings, battling live wires in the process. At Mount Vesuvius, Cannonball, Red Hulk and the rest of the US Avengers cap the erupting volcano with a dome, when above them, an object flies and steers into the Roman Colosseum leaving it a smoldering mess.

The Avengers seem a little busy.

In DC, Captain America talks to Blank Panther, but as he works to save people, he's suddenly frozen in time. Across the globe, Spider-Man, Black Panther and the Champions are equally paused. The X-Men, Vision, some lie motionless while others are ok. Falcon alerts all Avengers, active and reserve to assemble. They all meet up at Avengers mansion, but realize Jarvis is unaccounted for.
Nadia runs in and tells them all that the Avengers butler is badly hurt and might not survive. They all digest the information, clearly not only battling the toll physically but emotionally as well. Quicksilver and Rogue make snide comments at each other when above them, a familiar face floats down. Valerie Vector, former founding member of the team but erased from existence has returned. How her past and future teammates react though will have to wait... as this issue is left to be continued.

Hey. It's me. Remember me? Well, I'm back.

So this is where Legacy has been leading up to... a sixteen part weekly Avengers series that in the end, might just blow up everything you've known about the Marvel Universe. I didn't know what to make of this until I read it. And all I can say is wow. It's like the Legacy one shot that took you in a million directions. With this being the kickoff I know it's just a blueprint but if this is a sign of things to come, they'll certainly have me along for the ride. I give this one a 10/10.
