THE WAR OF JOKES AND RIDDLES, pt 4

The war of jokes and riddles gets classy, as Joker and the Riddler dine at Wayne Manor. Both with scores of villains in their corner, and complete with a nine course dinner and terrible jokes, Bruce calls the meeting to order. The city and parties involved have suffered greatly. Joker can't help himself with an aside about decapitation. Trying to make sense of it, Riddler explains but is met with a knife thrown from the other end of the table. Guns are drawn and Bruce asks Alfred for the next course.
The Joker's at your house. What did you really expect?

So why Batman? The Joker describes him as problematic and the Riddler agrees. As both of these people are insane, they essentially walk through their plans to graphically kill the dark knight. Bruce tells them both that he'll give $1 billion to explain why one should kill Batman over the other. The two supervillains think and Bruce loses his patience.
Oh oh. Looks like somebody's Bat-MAD! (p.s: that is the greatest joke I've ever typed in these captions)

Riddler says it should be him because Joker is a fraud. Joker says it should be him because.. he's the Joker. Who cares about the Riddler? Bruce tells them he will make his decision and contact them through Commissioner Gordon. He asks that they free their hostages and on the way out, Joker tells another joke.
I think this issue was made just so Mikel Janin could finally draw pictures of food.

The issue ends with Bruce having coffee. He explains, I suppose to Catwoman that the dinner was to judge them both. With that, the issue is left to be continued.
It's strange to have an issue of Batman where Bruce never actually changes into the suit, but certainly this isn't the first time for that. Still all a flashback, it's interesting to see the two most iconic maniacs in Batman's past all sitting down for an elegant dinner. While it lacked action, it made up for in story and the art was good too. I give this one an 8/10.
