Uncanny Avengers #10

Written by Gerry Duggan
Penciled by Pepe Larraz

Published Jun 22, 2016

Rogue and Hank Pym double team one of the monsters Shiklah decided to bring topside. After reminding them to never insult Ms. Deadpool, Hank asks Rogue for a night off for a date. She grants his wish and he flies off for a talk with his ex-wife, Janet Van Dyne aka the Wasp. Away from the team they discuss the time Hank's been away. Later confiding to Captain America, she discloses that this Hank is clearly an impostor and that Ultron is still very much in control of him.
Back at HQ, Human Torch and Cable talk about the future and whether Cable ever got any signs that Reed and Sue Richards are alive.  He says that he has not, and Hank walks in, overhearing their talk and jealous that the Avengers don't seem to remember their fallen like the Fantastic Four apparently does. Cable presses his buttons and tries to make him mad which is apparently one of Hank/Ultron's biggest flaws. Showing a chink in his armor, he has a coughing spell which eventually leads to him revealing to them what's been afoot all along. Ultron is still very much in control.
The building explodes, with Cap and the Wasp fearing they were too late. When the smoke clears, they see Deadpool, Cable, Human Torch, and Ultron about to throw down. Ultron asks Wasp where he went wrong and she tells him it was in missing key discussions during their conversation. She deploys a mini-EMP, allowing Deadpool to position himself over the incapacitated Ultron. Wasp tells him to fire while Cap tells him to hold it. The issue concludes with the blast emitting from Deadpool rifle and we're left to be continued to see if he makes his shot or not.
Outstanding issue as usual. Like I mentioned about the All New Inhumans, some of these books aren't wrapped into Civil War and that's definitely fine by me. You can never go wrong with a re-emergence of Ultron and Gerry Duggan proves it. Looking forward to the next issue, I give this one a 10/10.
