SUPREME - Conclusion

Matt and Foggy approach the pinnacle of the world of law - The Supreme Court. Finally standing before it, Matt confesses that he threw the case at the appellate level to get a Supreme Court ruling. Foggy tells him how stupid he is... Tombstone trying to kill him, a super lawyer standing in his way.
"Matt is dumb" - Foggy

Meanwhile Tombstone sits in a seedy bar when the phone rings. Wilson Fisk reminds him that he needs to finish the job with Murdock. The bartender pulls out a rocket launcher and gives it to him.
Excuse me, did you order one of these?

Back at the law lounge, a clerk reads the two attorneys last minute instruction. Legal goes into some kind of fake out law speech about how awesome he is. Matt asks who hired him and when he asks if it was the Kingpin, Legal's heartbeat is all he needs to know.
The case begins. As soon as Matt's opening statement begins, he's practically attacked.. in what I suppose is Alec Morgan's way of saying he's in a vicious legal fight. He senses Legal smiling and know's he's afraid. Matt tells the justices that we need to let the heroes help. We need to help each other... not be afraid.
Who knew the Supreme Court was THIS awesome?!

Ten days later, the news reports Matt's win. A 7-2 ruling that protects confidentiality to masked heroes that testify. Matt calls Foggy and reminds him why he took the case all the way. As a hero he can save the world but as a lawyer, maybe he can fix it. He says it's his last day as Daredevil... but also his first.
Alex Morgan spent 90% of his penciling time on this one page. 10% on all the others.

Back at the bar, Tombstone answers the phone. He did nothing... knowing that a Murdock win would keep his boss chasing other problems. Fish is infuriated. He smashes his buildings window and Wesley walks in. Is it time for plan C? The kingpin agrees and with that, this story arc is concluded.
Fantastic issue and a fitting end to such a good story. I don't remember when the last comic book featuring the Supreme Court was, nor at the very least making it good but Charles Soule delivered. The art is still embarrassingly low-fi and at this point, holding this book back. With someone capable, it would have been an easy perfect book but for this one, I give it an 8/10.
