Daredevil is in Bullseye's sites. As he waits for the expert assassin to pull the trigger, he thinks back to exactly what got him here. It was just a few days before when Matt Murdock was talking to Father Jordan. In their exchange, Matt tells him that he used to be a believer until bullseye murdered Karen Page. Now that is protege Blindspot has too lost his sight, where does the evil come from? The priest is attacked by muggers during his explanation and defeats them all using the power of the Ordo Draconum.. an ancient militant order of the Catholic Church.
As if that wasn't enough to interrupt his story, he explains to Matt that the reason God makes it hard, the reason He gives us loss and heartache, is because He wants us to fight. He wants us to show that we're worthy. Flash forward to that bullet racing to Daredevil's head and without any other reason than divine intervention, he raises his baton and deflects the bullet. He then attacks Bullseye and is able to defeat him.
In an epilogue, Matt goes to the hospital to visit the injured Sam Chung. He has a vial of serum to give him that would heighten his senses - a vile he got from Bullseye but sadly the boy has left, sent home with his mother. He then goes to the church for another talk with Father Jordan. There was a time when all the world knew his secret identity but now he's somehow gotten them to forget. I guess now it's time to find out how.
Not a bad issue. Charles Soule again hits the mark explaining more about this character's development. Dealing with the timeline Daredevil was in before the TV show and having to kind of shape it afterwards is a challenge to a task he appears up to. I give this issue and 8 out of 10.
