Victor stares at a floating, older, translucent Tony Stark who floats above New York in a vision. He tells him that he cannot be Iron Man Iufearu comes. Victor asks "who?" and tony is interrupted. When he comes to, he sees Riri Williams standing before him. Victor says "he was right" and collapses on the floor in front of her.
"You know Iufearu?!"

Meanwhile, Johnny Storm meets with Ben Grim in a piza place and they reminisce about their respective stints with the Guardians and the Inhumans. Ben asks him about Dr. Doom now being Iron Man, and the conversation shifts to Reed being in The Things hotel room, asking him to kill Victor. They both agree that it would be impossible for Reed to ask him to do such a thing. Eventually the talk makes Johnny miss his family all the more. He flames on, and takes off while Commander Carter summons Grimm. Apparently Dr. Victor Von Doom is in custody.
Bye, Ben. (Fwoooooooosh!)

Carter and her agents stare through the glass at an incapacitated Doom. She goes back to the surface and thanks Riri for turning him in. She takes off while the Thing walks up to join her. Meanwhile a group of SHIELD agents walk up to the two guarding Doom's cell. One of them asks the group to take a hike, eventually tasing them to gain entry. Once inside, the leader turns to Doom and draws a pistol. While the others urge her to fire, she turns to them and shoots.
"Yeah? Well now THIS is happening!"

An alarm sounds and Carter orders all available agents to section off the lower levels. The agent who killed her comrades can't understand why it happened when Doom's mother admits it was her that did it. She then knocks all of the responding agents back, and when she sees Grimm, chides him for not heeding her warning. She crashes the helicarrier into the ocean.
The issue wraps with Doom waking up in a strange place - his mother's quarters. She tells him she took care of her baby and finally Victor believes that this woman truly is his mother. She tells him she's going to show him his real, true birthright... but for that we'll have to wait. Because this issue is left to be continued.
Cynthia's Pimp Pad.

This title continues to rank amongst Marvel's best. Brian Michael Bendis crushes it when he's not thinking too much, and this story almost feels like it's telling itself. Since this is as close as we're gonna get to a Fanstastic Four title for the time being, I'll take what I can get. Either way it really leaves the reader wanting more, and I only wish this series was one of Marvel's bi-monthly books. I give this one a solid 9/10..
