Hulk and Odinson walk from their landed spacecraft in Central Park. Maddy has caught up with her brother and is needles to say, a little upset. She brings him back to the Olympus Group and he explains to her that he’s figured out how to keep the Hulk strength but maintain his intelligence. But first on the green one's agenda - a little rest.

Hulk Dreams.

He dreams, and the Hulk once again sees Amadeus chained up in the trunk. The next day, he leaps into action to help Spidey save some workers on a crumbling bridge. But using physics, he's able to pinpoint the trouble zone.

"Here's the problem... riiiiiiiiiiight heeeeeeeeeeeere..."

Later he gets an alert - Prince Phalkan has escaped prison. Hulk gives the warlord one chance to return but he refuses. Before Jimmy Woo can assemble the Protectors, Phalkan meets Hulk in New York thanks to him giving the criminal his location.

I like how even though Hulk told him where he was, Phalkan didn't even think something would be up.

With news helicopters circling, Hulk's computer brain goes to work. He systematically inflicts a series of time consuming injuries on the former prince. He then holds the badly beaten imperial guardian up and shouts to the cameras about what happens now when you mess with the Hulk. With his friends shocked, and his subconscious still locked away, the new Hulk appears ruthless. What'll happen next? We'll have to wait to find out as this issue is left to be continued.

The Incredible Ruthless Hulk.

Finally a new story arc. As this book is monthly, it really seemed like we were stuck on Plant Hulk forever. But more importantly, it really looks like Amadeus is ready to let his Hulk Freak Flag Fly. An intelligent monster who isn't afraid to hold back? Kinda reminds me of Dr. Hulk from a few years ago. Maybe those two could get a reunion one of these days. I give this one a 9/10.
