Archangel remains in flux at War Room X in the Savage Land while a trapped Psylocke struggles to find Warren Worrhington, clearly being controlled by religious zealots in a hidden Akkaba city somewhere beneath Green Ridge, Colorado. She frees herself and happens upon a conversation between Warren and Genocide, Apocalypse's son, referencing how the serpents wear the scourge of deformity so that warren doesn't have to. Her observation is interrupted however when Fantomex pops out of the shadows with a gun to her head.
Meanwhile in the tunnels beneath New York, Monet, Sabretooth and Callisto fight the servents of Emplate, Monet's brother. While his minions kidnap Morlock after Morlock, Emplate explains to them (in grosser terms than was probably necessary) that the entire ruse was done in an attempt to lure Monet to the tunnels to save him. Back in Green Ridge, Psylocke and Fantomex fight for their lives against each other. He believes he was hired to assassinate her, and seems to have no problems about doing so after their history. During their banter back and forth, it's revealed that supposedly Magneto hired him.
After defeating him soundly, she wanders around trying to find Erik. All the while, she's attempting to send a psychic signal to M and Sabretooth. They feel her tickling their brains, but can't pinpoint exactly what she's asking them for. Eventually she happens upon the frightening remains of several Archangel clones, and everything begins to make sense again. She calls out to the real Archangel, and he springs to life inside the Savage Land. He mindlessly flies to her aid while we're all left to be continued.
While the former flagship title has been reduced to a few b-list X-men like Sabretooth and Monet, this story still proves worth reading. I wish they'd have a little better creative team at the helm, vis a vis Extraordinary or All New X-men, but this whole Apocalypse tie in is still delivering. I give it a 7/10.
