I Am Suicide pt 3
The issue opens with a flashback about when Batman captured Catwoman and had to turn her in, despite the fact that she killed 237 people. Flash to the present where Batman, Catwoman, and the Ventriloquist walk into the back of Block D of Bane's prison and go their separate ways. Next up we see Jewelee, her boyfriend Punchy, and Bronze Tiger in the front of the prison having an insane conversation. The 2 lovebirds keep pushing his buttons before the gate slides open and they walk inside. Bane will see them now.
Catwoman and Ventriloquist continue on inside. They talk about how Ventriloquist's doll Scarface more or less controls him and when he's not around, the criminal is able to stay out of trouble. Catwoman on the other hand, is never able to break from her demons. She explains that she's probably going to be executed for her crimes but her confession is broken up by them making it to the front of the block. The plan is to find the Psycho Pirate but Catwoman tells Ventriloquist to stay put and sneaks off to "cat around".
Finally the team is in place. Bronze Tiger meets with Bane and lies, telling him his gift is the 2 criminals in exchange for tips on how to kill Batman for the League of Assassins. The plan is quickly foiled though, by Catwoman, who jumps down and kills Punch and Jewelee and incapacitates Bronze Tiger. She makes a side deal with Bane - Money and a plane in exchange for how to break the Bat. With that, we're left to be continued.
Tom King is one of the best writers in the industry right now, and he's doing a stellar job with this already near classic tale. I Am Suicide is crushing it and Part 4 is certain to be another amazing chapter I'm already waiting for. I give this one a 10/10.
