Deadpool is back, and this time... thanks to killing a monster, they’ve decided to make him their new king. Also a side effect to the Merc with a Mouth striking, Staten Island has a new tourism motto, much to the chagrin of Captain America.
The only problem is that famed monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone is determined to stop him. Between their intertwined adventures, they learn to live with one another. Plus DP gets a new monster/shark sidekick care of Gwenpool.
Eventually their adventures lead them into breaching the X-Capital of Krakoa while Wade searches for a cure to his life delibitating cancer. He fails to get an answer nor an invite to live in their mutant paradise.
Overall not a bad answer to Gerry Duggan’s DP, though he was kind of a master. Kelly Thompson has a lot of fourth walls to break but I’m sure he’ll get there. Because it’s JUST SO DAMN FUNNY, ISN’T IT MARVEL?! Not bad and probably a lot more ladder room. I give this one a 9/10.
