Miles, Fabio, and Ganke sit around the dorm room talking about Spider-Man's most recent adventure - hopping around different dimensions looking for his dad Jefferson Davis with Spider-Gwen. He finds him, and after unmasking is brutally struck down by his cane. Spider-Woman leaps into action, A reminder to Miles that his training still has a long way to go, she kicks Jefferson. He grabs her ankle but she's able to get the upper... leg on him. Trying to wake Miles up, they're slowly approached by the gang.
As he's recounting the tale, Ganke suggests maybe his dad was undercover. Returning to the story, Gwen and Miles beat up all the goons but Miles keeps calling the inter-dimensional Davis his dad. Blasted in the back, he gets up and webs his dad all up just as the cops are getting there. Spider-Man flees as Spider-Woman knocks Jefferson out. She leaps on the rooftop after him and tells her it's time to go. He resists, and as he's turning back to go after him, she webs HIM up. She reminds him the bad guys are got and that they just need to take time to figure it all out. Just then, cops order them to freeze.
They turn around and Spider-Woman places her hands on Miles' teleporting watch. She activates it and sends them into a one page nightmare world where Apocalypse is riding a giant spider. Clicking it again, they're sent back to the rooftop right out of the cops' line of sight. Just then it beeps and says to return to origin. They both agree to go together. Miles tells Ganke and Fabio that they're not gonna believe what happens next and with that, we're left to be continued...
Spider-Man is always such a wonderful tale and Bendis is doing such an awesome job with this. I really like the crossover appeal with this one and the Spider-Gwen book which is awesome as well and so far, it's a pretty cool story. Also anytime you can get SHIELD involved, why not? It's good stuff and I give it a 9/10.
