   The rogue X-Men are still on the lam, but as Cyclops builds their target list, it’s time to show on the road - in super retro-1991 fashion. After discovering some of Jamie Madrox’s Cyborg clones, they learn where the reanimated Dark Beast is and are able to attack. After subduing him, they’re able to regroup, but learn on the news they’re not the only X-Men left. Hope Summers and Banshee are attacking a VAXX faculty.... so what’s the next play? Matthew Rosenberg keeps an awesome story going, and guest-penciler Salvador Larocca brings his Star Wars talent to the House of X. I give this one a 9/10.

Star Wars #62

THE SCOURGING OF SHU-TORUN pt I

   Princess Leia begins putting her team together to raid Shu-Torun and get back at the ultimate traitor Queen Trios. It includes Tunga the shape shifter, Benthic the Jedha separatist, and finally Meorti the Slicer. The issue wraps with the weird Central Isopter's on Shu-Torun preparing to watch the destruction which can't be anything good. Kieron Gillen's final Star Wars story is off to a good start. I give this one an 8/10.

Immortal Hulk #14

WE ONLY MEET AT FUNERALS

   General Thunderbolt Ross is laid to rest... again.. and this time mourned by his daughter Betty. Meanwhile former acquaintance General Fortean says a few words. After she gets home, Bruce Banner sits waiting on her porch. They go inside to talk while a sniper under Fortean's command decides to take the shot. Unfortunately it hits Betty instead. The issue ends with a furious Hulk staring down former teammate Doc Sampson. But what happens next? Al Ewing resets a little bit while guest pencils from Kyle Hotz do not disappoint. I give this one an 8/10.

Deadpool #10

GOOD NIGHT

   Somebody is stealing Deadpool's jobs. And it's always the same guy with the same calling card - the words "Good Night" scrawled in blood. Finally, Deadpool sets up a decoy - Hydra Bob in a duck hunting outfit. Eventually, Good Night shows up and beats the Merc With a Mouth so bad, he can only wish he was dead. Later he wakes up in agonizing pain - with this mystery merc telling him that he hurt him, so now it's payback. But what does it all mean? Skottie Young sets up a brand new story arc with some brutal pencils from Scott Hepburn. I give this one a 9/10.

BEAT THE DEVIL pt III

   While the Champions train, it's clear over Sam's brooding that Spider-Man has something on his mind. Later when Brawn tracks him down, they speak about the deal they made with Mephisto. Later, Miles uses Pinpoint's abilities to bring him back to Dubai where he finds out the truth.. Though he managed to save Ms Marvel, others died because of his choice. Meanwhile, former Thanos slave Kaldera has finally found her target - former Nova Sam Alexander. but what exactly does she plan to do with him? This series keeps getting better and Jim Zub is proving he's in a class by himself. I give this one a 9/10.

Avengers #16

WAR OF THE VAMPIRES pt III

   While the Avengers fight a brainwashed and possessed Ghost Rider, they're learning on several fronts that these vampires are some worthy opponents. Meanwhile the Winter Guard show Dracula just how ruthless they can be, killing his cohorts in front of him. The issue ends with the Avengers getting Robbie back from the vampiric curse he was caught up in, but as the last panel proves - his fight is anything but over. Classic Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze stares at him, telling him they have a ride to look forward to. This awesome story keeps getting more and more involved, and I can't get enough of it. I give this one an 8/10.

X-Force #3

SINS OF THE PAST pt III

   While X-Force is battling the Transia mechs, Deathlok is forced to abandon his undercover mission into the mutant prison. Meanwhile, Boom Boom finally joins the war. While there's a lull in the action, Cannonball pulls this weird, young version of Cable aside and gives him the third degree. Satisfied he's legit, the team is willing to follow him. They better hurry though. Ahab, the vicious mutant traitor has the cyborg by the power wires. What'll happen next? Ed Brisson and Dylan Burnett continue one of Marvel's greatest X-books and keep it in good company. I give this one a 10/10.
