X-Force #7-12

X-FORCE #7-12

Written by Benjamin Percy

Dealing with resurrections, Domino and Colossus bond over painful memories. Meanwhile someone is executing various activists who are sympathetic to mutants. Oddly they are also using Domino’s luck abilities. She tracks down the assassin and after some research, they realize flesh from her body that died is being transferred to other clones. Before long, her and Colossus track the mastermind down... and the villain is a guy with a peacock tattoo.
Now with a new body, Domino, Wolverine and Kid Omega go in search of Terra Verde’s silence and why they’ve suddenly been the culprit of several mutant crimes. While I’d love to recap what happens here, I can’t because I didn’t understand it. The only thing I walked away with is that Wolverine and Jean Gray are an item..?
Later during an autopsy, a little red monster leaps out of the bodies, allowing scores of tiny Russian nesting dolls to attack Krakoa. Beast proposes some link between the Russians and Colossus. Eventually one of them find the Cerebro sword and get it in the hands of Mikhail. He stabs Kid Omega and pulls him through a portal into Russia.
Now with Mikhail in possession of a cerebro, Domino’s luck and Kid Omega, it seems like Russia is a pretty big part of this story. That’s bad news for fellow ruskie Colossus. Beast takes him into custody... so what’s next? We’ll have to wait to find out soon.
So I’m just enamored with where Percy is taking this but, but summarizing it is a pain in the but. Still it’s a great story with so many facets, I don’t know how any seasoned X-reader couldn’t be blown away with it all.

10/10.
